Utilization of Denim Waste into Debric Board

Abstract More than one billion pieces of denim are sold every year. The consumptions from North America 39%, West Europe 20%, East Asia and the rest it, including Indonesia, is 13%. This study aims to know comparation between waste become particle boards toward SNI as a national standard through several variables. variables water content, thickness increment, density, acidity, alkalinity resistance. Making sample refers board-making process, such preparation, mixing, gluing, pressing, drying. On other hand, this study’s method for test based on 03-2105-2006 about Particle Board 01-7201-2006 Plywood Beautiful Paper-faced Blockboard. divided by four ratios, 100%:100% (a), 75%:25% (b), 50%:50% (c), 25%:75% (d). result showed that content only variable influenced sample’s ratio. At same time, A perfect with ratio 100% because complied test, density minor damage acidity resistance test. It can conclude has potential be improved interior materials board.
